This is Marie’s third term as councillor for Stswecem’c Xget’tem Nation.

The proud grandmother of five, with a sixth on the way, and co-grandma has lived her entire life in the traditional territory. She has supported her community in several professional capacities, including accounts payable clerk, education manager and administration. Marie models her work ethic and sense of responsibility to family and community, on the example set by her mother and late father. They taught her that actions are stronger than words and that one leads by example.
