Hank Adams
I’m the son of Hilary Adam & Nadine Adam, and Sharon Boucher (Billy). I’m the Grandson of Willie & Lila Adams and the great grandson of Pascal & Delilah Adams. I’m the great, great grandson of William Adams. My family has a strong history in Stswecem’c Xget’tem.
I’m thankful to be with my wife for 23 years. We have raised two strong, resilient and intelligent daughters, future leaders. I started working for the Nation in 2017 as the Self-Government Transition Coordinator. For the past five years I’ve worked as the Treaty Manager/Negotiator.

Goals for being a leader for SXFN:
- I will continue to protect and restore our Secwepem’c Culture, Language & our Territory.
- I will continue to work towards being a self-reliant community through renewable energy, food sustainability & self-government. Continue to support nation building.
- I will continue to support and evolve our economic development, that will benefit all of our members. To continue, diversifying our businesses and create new positive partnerships, that respect our Vision. I want to look outside of the box and bring a new perspective for business. Also, investing into our community.
- I will continue to help Improve our communications for transparency and accountability.
Why you became a part of leadership for councillor:
I’m a Stswecem’c Xget’tem member and I care for the future of our Nation. I want positive change for our community and I’m grateful to be a part of that work. I’m thankful to come from a family of leaders and I was groomed to be a leader. I want to work towards our Vision "Stswecem'c Xget'tem is a self-sustaining community living our Secwepemc culture and language in a healthy and safe environment" and help create an environment where our future generations can thrive. I have a wealth of knowledge, the ability to think outside of the box and a new perspective, that can benefit our Nation. I’m grateful to be in service to our Nation and I appreciate the support.
